Flowmeter Modding

I used an innovatek flowmeter in the project. This plugs into the Fan-O-Matic Pro VFD, measuring flow rate in the cooling system, and can trip an alarm if the flow stops. It needed a facelift to fit with the case theme:

After some modding: a cover, wiring, and fittings. I measured the original meter with calipers, and transferred the measurements to Illustrator. The drawing was stuck to a piece of red perspex, cut out, and drilled.

The existing holes in the flowmeter were tapped to M3 and the cover simply screwed on - no cutting, drilling, or damage to the meter. The meter had a blue LED, which had to go. As it was one of those tiny, PCB-mounted LEDs, I left it alone and cut the wire powering it (after taking the meter apart and testing with a multimeter to work out which wire it was). I had to cut all three....

...but rewired the two from the flowmeter, with red wires. With the cover on and new wiring it was an improvement over the original. I later changed part of the hose fittings to another innovatek design, incorporating anti-kink springs.
